The golden Stupa of the Pha That Luang in Vientiane
 I was very fortunate to benefit from the services of a First Class travel agency during my adventure. I found them by chance, in one of those tiny ads in the New Yorker magazine. I chose their "budget" option, which means I was mostly alone, and my guides were Lao. They organized me a trip that was very smooth, yet not so processed as to lose all flavor. I am impressed with the amount of discovery they were able to squeeze in my tight week in Laos, and I recommend them thoroughly:
